Scrappy Resume

Objective:

As my style has progressed in the past several I've realized just how much other design teams have affected my growth and as I grow I would like to give back, be that serving on a design team, getting published, or just having a friendly place to hang out on my blog.

About Me:

My husband, David, and I have two boys who are 18 months apart which keeps us rolling and moving. I started scrapbooking as a way to document our first son's milestones, when he was 8 months old. It was paining me to see my journalism degree wasted by having all those thousands of photos just sit on the hard drive. I didn't really understand the art of scrapbooking at the time but knew that the sticker sneeze that I was putting out was not a style I wanted to project, so I started playing along with a few challenge blogs about a year after beginning this hobby. My style has started taking on it's own life - there's normally lots of ink, destroying of product, geometric angles, lots of layers, and plenty of color. Given my roots in journalism it shouldn't come as a surprise that journaling always plays a roll to some degree, though getting past the 5 Ws and expressing my emotions regarding the event is currently on my agenda.
