For those of you you haven't played along with the Paper Girls before they are a twice monthly challenge blog that has offered up everything from sketches to inspiration pictures to techniques to types of products for the past year. I've been playing along with them since the beginning and let me tell you there's some fun challenges in store so check back April 1 for my first post with them.

As for the Scrapbooksteals Amber 5a, I posted it to their blog in time to be entered for the challenge but didn't have time until now to get it posted over here.
I used a whole bunch of MME scraps that I'd had hanging around. The red and grey backgrounds are pieces of Lost and Found spliced back together! I whitewashed both layers to help cover up the edges. There's also a Lush 2 Orange journaling tag that I used Fired Brick Distress Ink on and turned it pink!
As for the other bits, there's more Lost and Found (paper and glittered cardstock), Kraft Funday, Pretty Please, Andrea Victoria, Good Day Sunshine, and Abbey Road.
Accented using Ranger Enamel dots in white and black, a WRMK eyelet, MME Kraft Funday twine, foam dots, Studio G white glitter glue, and Jenni Bowlin alphas.
Congratulations!!!! I'm so happy for you - can't wait to see your challenge :-)
ReplyDeleteLoving the MWM layout too! Cute photos :-)

Happy Birthday to you! I agree with seeing it as a lovely birthday present, happenstance or no. I can't wait to see what you are up to. I really like the layout. Don't the pictures go nicely in the design? I particularly noticed the use of another technique from our class. Nice application! It really does work nicely here.
