I'm so excited about today's Paper Girls Challenge - I'm hosting this week and thought it would be fun to pay homage to the holiday to day with a "Lucky Charm" themed challenge. I'm asking that everyone do a project about something that has a lucky element - a blessing, a daily routine, special shirts, fan rituals, etc. and it doesn't have to have anything to do with St. Patrick's Day.
My project is a layout about my dad's gameday rituals - certain Cowboys shirts/jerseys based on if they are playing. Let me just say that it's a little elaborate in my opinion, but totally one of those things that will be fun to look back and see.
And here's a close-up, check out the colored stars that I made by mixing modeling paste with some of my Mister Huey's mist. Perfect! Though they did make the paste runny and a tad bit harder to use, for this project precise shapes weren't necessary but could easily be problematic.
I also rubbed a silver Tim Holtz paint dauber over some of the stars. Cowboys colors are silver and blue, how could I not?!
Great idea! I really like how the stars turned out- they could easily become girly, yet you kept them manly! It is a good subject to document and then go back and reminisce.
