wintertime box

I sort of wish I'd taken a "before" for this project. The box for this snowy community housed a Disney Planes plane that Grandma had to have for the boys, so I had two of these high-quality plastic containers. While not normally a hoarder, my mom gave me some seriously strange looks when I told her I was going to keep them for some sort of project.

Naturally, I gave her one of the two that I made.

A lot of modeling paste and embossing powder gave the snow some depth and shine. Though, I probably should have made the car a bit smaller since it's grossly out of scale with the house.

The paper shapes were all cut from a variety of Silhouette Studio shapes and the trees were from Fancy Pants.

Oops, the moose lost his antlers, no worries I glued them back on but forgot to take another picture. The cute little snowman was made with Mod Melts.

And if you look really closely at the ceiling of this box you'll see the Disney Planes logo, which soooo didn't go with my little wintry scene. I used MME Necessities Metallic vellum to cover it up. The vellum kept the scene bright and camouflaged the logo.

Not so bad for an upcycled community. ;)
